A veiy pleasing effect may be gained by using
thread or embroidery silk of contrasting color on
the bobbin. Fig. 58 shows a white organdie collar
and cuff set with red and green smocking made with
the gatherer, using fine crochet cotton or tatting
thread on the top and white cotton on the bobbin.
