LACE TRIMMED HEM
To attach the lace to the hem, insert
the lace in the slot next to needle.
Sew hem as above, guiding lace un
der needle and hem into scroll.

LACE EDGE WITH INVISIBLE STITCHING
Hold the lace % inch from raw
edge on right side of fabric. Insert
both in scroll as for plain narrow
hem. Let hem roll over and sew in

lace. Press lace out flat along edge
with hem turned up. For a little fullness in lace, feed it freely under
scroll (Fig. 28).
