STORAGE (Over 30 Days)
At the end of each year, prepare the unit for storage as foHov.s
MOWER
CLEAN THE UNIT

LUBRICATE THE UNIT
See the "Lubrication" instructions in this book..
ENGINE
Clean the dia and grass frorr! the engine
Change the oil. See the instructions, "How To Change The
Oil"
Check the air screen. Sea the instructions, "Ho'.v To Clean
The Air Screen"
Check the spark plug See "How To Check The Spark Plug"
THE FUEL SYSTEM
A
WARNING: Do not drain the gasoline inside a
building or near a fire, Do not smoke or the
fumes from the fuel can cause an explosion.
CAUTION: During storage, it is important to prevent deposits
from occuring in fuel system parts like the carburetor, fuel
fitter, fuel hose and the fuel tank. Alcohol gasoline mixtures
(cailed gasoho! or using ethanol or methanol) attract moisture
causing acid deposits during storage. While the unit is in
storage, the acids in the fuel can damage the fuel systetn. To
prevent engine problems with the fuel system, empty the fuel
system before storage of 30 days or longer.
Start the engine
Run the engine until the fuel tank and the carburetor are out
of fuel and the engine stops Do not leave fuel in the fue! tank
or the carburetor. The fuel can damage the function of the
fue! system.
After storage, make sure you use fresh fuel
BATTERY
Remove the batter,'
Clean the batter/ terminals of any deposits. See "How To
Clean The Batter/"
Completely charge the batter/ See the instructions, "How
To Check And Charge The Batter/"
Store the batter/ in a cool, dr/ place
NOTE: After a long period of time in storage, the battery must
be charged.
