PREUMINARY SETTING -
•
Air cleaner assembly rm sst be assembhYi to the eorbii-
retor when making carburetor adjuslmontPj.

Be sure the throttle control c-able i'S adjusted proporly
(see above).

With engine off tiirn idle mixture valve in (clockwise)
clositifl it finger tight and then turn out (counferciock-
wise) 1 full turn.

FINAL SETTING
•
Start engine and allow to warm, for five minutes. Make
final adjustments with engine riinniiig and shiff/motion
control lever in neutral

position.
•
Move ihrotiie control lever to slo
/ - 1
position. With
finger, rotate and hold throttle lever against idle speed
screw. Turn Idle speed screw to attain 1750 RPM.
•
While sti holding throttle lever against Idle speed
screw, turn idle mixture valve in (clockwise) until en
gine begins to cite and then turn pyt (counterclockwise)
until engine rurrs rough. Turn valve to a po-irit midway
b-etweert those two positions. Release ttrottle lever.
ACCELERATION TEST -
•
Move throttifi control lever from slo'w

position. If engine hesitates or dies, turn'idle mixture
valve out (couriterclockwise) 1/8 turn. Repeat test and
continue to adjust, if necessary, until engine acceler
ates srnoothly.
High speed stop is factory adjusted.. Do not adjust -
damage may result.
