Setting Oven Controls

The broiier pan and the insert allows
grease to drain and be keptawayfrom the
high heat of the broiier. DO NOT use the
pan without the insert. DO NOT cover the
insert with foil; the exposed grease could
ignite.
To Broil
1. Arrange oven rack while oven is still cool. Position the rack as suggested in
the chart beiow.

Press and hold the or "V untii the desired broii setting level appears
in the display. Press the ^ form broii or the for LO broil. Mostfoods
can be broiled atthe HI broil setting. Select the LO broil setting to avoid excess
browning or drying of foods that should be broiled to the well-done stage.
4. Place the insertonthe broiier pan, then place the food on the insert. DO NOT
use the broiler pan without the insert or coverthe insert with aluminum foil. The
exposed grease could ignite.

Place the pan on the oven rack. Open the oven door to the broil stop
position when broiling (see illustration).
6. Broil on one side until food is browned; turn and cook on the second side. Note:
Always pul! the rack out to the stop position before turning or removing food.
7. When broiling is finished, press L^l
CAUTION
I Should an ovenfire occur, close the oven doorand turn off the oven.
Ifthe fire continues, use a fire extinguisher. DO NOT put water or flour on the fire.
Flour may be explosive..
