Open this cover to clear paper jams or to clean the scanner.
Separation OFF Mode Button
Use this button when you want to scan the following documents (See
“Separation OFF Mode,” on p. 37.):
• Thick documents
• Documents that contain two or more pages together as one document
• Documents that have a rough surface
• Duplicate forms that have sticky edges
Adjustment Dial Cover

Adjustment Dial
Adjust the Separation Roller gap if feeding errors
occur too frequently. (See “Adjusting the
Separation Roller Gap,” on p. 57.)
Eject Stopper
Pull out the Eject Stopper to prevent
documents from falling off the output
tray.
Eject Pocket
Documents are separated with flappers
into three pockets. (See p. 36)
Scanner Unit
This unit scans the documents.
