is
a
special
case
of
vertical
speed
when
zero
(0)
is
selected.
This
is
NOT
altitude
hold,
but
will
maintain
zero
vertical
speed.
This
mode
allows
the
aircraft
to
vary
in
altitude,
and
in
heavy
turbulence
will
give
a
smoother
ride
to
the
occupants.

is
shown
in
figure
6.4.1e.
