Pikes Peak (P-4)
Program Overview
Pikes Peak uses a nine-minute core where the incline increases every minute for the first five
minutes. As the incline increases, speed is slightly reduced in the same fashion as it would if
one where hiking up an ever steeper hill. After the fifth minute of the core program, the incline
is reduced each minute and the speed increases. All speeds in this program are at a walking
pace. See table below and Figure 8.
