Staple Detection
The scanner has sensors on both sides of the feeding slot to detect feed errors
when the documents with staple is lifted up.
You can enable or disable staple detection on the ISIS/TWAIN driver’s setting
screen.
Staple Detection Sensor
● The staple detector detects documents stapled in one of their four corners because
the document is lifted up. It cannot accurately detect stapled documents in two
corners or A5 (148 x 210 mm) or smaller because the document does not lift up high
enough to be detected.
● You can set the detection accuracy for staple detection in the user mode settings. For
information on the user mode, see “Setting in the User Mode,” on page 60.
