First Time Setup
Setup wizard
After turning on your device the first time, you may see a setup wizard to help you set
up your device. To do this initial setup, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the device.
2. Tap the Apps icon at the bottom of screen.
3. Scroll to and tap the Setup icon.
4. To skip the Setup guide, tap Skip all.
5. Tap Get started.
6. Select desired language:
o English
o Espanol
7. Tap Next.
8. If desired, follow instructions to set up Wi-Fi.
9. Tap Skip to bypass Wi-Fi setup.
10. If desired, follow instructions to set up Google account.
11. Tap Next.
12. If desired, follow instructions to:
o Set up Voicemail
o Sign in to email
o Sign in to Social Network
13. Tap Go to Home screen to complete setup.
14. To return to setup at any time, tap the Setup icon in the app tray.
Time and Date
Auto-update time (NITZ)
To set the device clock to automatically update based on what time zone it is in, follow these steps:
Note: When you enter a different time zone and turn on your device, it automatically updates to the new
time. This feature is network-dependent and may not be available in all areas.
