ALWAYS MAKE THESE INITIAL CHECKS FIRST
1. D(jes the time display shctw the cctrrect time (tf day?
—If display is blank, check power source to the soft­
ener.
—If time is flashing, pctwer was (tff for ttver 24 hcturs. The
scjftener resumes nctrmal (tperatictn but regeneratictns
occur at the wrong time.
—If an errctr cctde (Example: Err.3) shctws in the face plate
display, get t(J AtrrOMATIC ELECTRONIC DIAGNOS­
TICS.
2. Plumbing bypass valve(s) must be in Full Service
position.
3. The inlet and outlet pipes must connect to the softener
inlet and outlet respectively.
4. Is the transfetrmer plugged intet a “live”, gretunded wall
outlet, and the power cable fastened securely?
5. The valve drain hetse must be free (tf kinks and sharp
bends, and nett elevated (tver 8 ft. alxtve the fktetr.
REMOVE THE TOP COVER AND SALT TANK COVER

. Is there salt in the stetrage tank?
7. Is the brine tubing connected? (See water flow
diagrams).

. Is the brine valve float set right? (See page 23).
9. Press the SELECT buttetn 2 times to display the hardness
setting. Be sure it is the cctrrect setting fetr the
hcjusehctld’s water supply. (Make a hardness test (tf the
raw water and cctmpare with the hardness setting. Alsct
test a soft water sample to verify if a problem exists.)
Press the SELECT buttetn twice metre t(t return t(t
present time in the display.

and the MANUAL ADVANCE REGENERATION CHECK.
