Speakers eonneeted to this unit must be high-

power types with minimum rating of 50 W and

impedanee of 4 to 8 ohms. Conneeting speakers

with output and/or impedanee values other than

those noted here may result in the speakers eateh-

ing fire, emitting smoke, or beeoming damaged.

When this produet’s souree is switehed ON, a

eontrol signal is output through the blue/white

lead. Conneet to an external power amp’s system

remote eontrol or the ear’s Auto-antenna relay

eontrol terminal (max. 300 mA 12 V DC). If the

ear features a glass antenna, eonneet to the anten­

na booster power supply terminal.

When an external power amp is being used with

this system, be sure not to eonneet the blue/white

lead to the amp’s power terminal. Likewise, do

not eonneet the blue/white lead to the power ter­

minal of the auto-antenna. Sueh eonneetion eould

eause exeessive eurrent drain and malfunetion.

To avoid short-eireuiting, eover the diseonneeted

lead with insulating tape. Espeeially, insulate the

unused speaker leads without fail. There is a pos­

sibility of short-eireuiting if the leads are not insu­

lated.

eonneetion,

the

input

side

of

the

IP-BUS

eonneetor

is

blue,

and

the

output

side

is

blaek.

Conneet

the

eonneetors

of

the

same

eol-

ors eorreetly.

If this unit is installed in a vehiele that does not

have an ACC (aeeessory) position on the ignition

switeh, the red lead of the unit should be eonneet­

ed to a terminal eoupled with ignition switeh

ON/OFF operations. If this is not done, the vehi­

ele battery may be drained when you are away

from the vehiele for several hours. (Fig. 1)

If you ground the produets together and the

ground beeomes detaehed, there is a risk of dam­

age to the produets or fire.

manuals of both prodiiets and eonneet eords that
have the same funetion.
