Your range top is designed to give

you flexibility of boiling; steaming;
sauteing, browning, frying, can­
ning, or pressure cooking. It heats
through the metal coils of four
Calrod® units thus giving the cor­
rect amount of energy for each

setting you choose.

Surface Cooking with
Infinite Heat Controls

Your surface units and controls are

designed to give you an infinite
choice of heat settings for surface
unit cooking.

At both OFF and HIGH positions,

there is a slight niche so control

‘clicks” at those positions; “click”

'on HIGH marks the highest setting;

the lowest setting is between the
words WM and OFF. In a quiet
kitchen you may hear slight “click­
ing” sounds during cooking, indi­

cating heat settings selected are
being maintained.

Switching heats to higher settings

always show a quicker change than
switching to lower settings.

Grasp contol knob and push in.

HI Quick start for cooking;

bring water to boil.

MED Fast fry, pan broil; maintain
HI fast boil on lar^^e amount of

food.

MED Saute and brown; maintain

slow boil on large amount
of food.

LOW Cook after starting at

HIGH; cook with little

water in covered pan.

WM Steam rice, cereal; maintain

serving temperature of most
foods.

NOTE:

1. At HIGH, MED HI, never leave

food unattended. Boilovers cause

smoking; greasy spillovers may
catch fire.
2. At WARM, LOW, melt choco­
late, butter on small unit.

Step 2

Turn either clockwise or counter­
clockwise to desired heat settine.

Control must be pushed in to set

only from OFF position. When
control is in any position other
than OFF, it may be rotated
without pushing in.

Be sure you turn control to OFF

when you finish cooking. An indi­
cator light will glow when ANY
