TC/LINK-MD: UCP with Sonera Content Gateway and Listener

Kofax Communication Server now supports UCP with Sonera Content Gateway and Listener

for incoming SMS via TOPS SMSC client .NET 6.0.29. The TOPS SDK has to be installed

separately and needs a workstation license at the time of installing TOPS. (319380)

See TC/LINK-MD Technical Manual for more details.

Fax over IP: SIP Calls Can Fail with Large Messages

FoIP SIP calls via TCP or TLS can fail if SIP messages are received in multiple network

packets. In such case, KCS FoIP processes an incomplete SIP message. The following or

similar errors are written to the FoIP trace file (319115, SPR00176917):

Error reading SIP message, Sip2XML read error, bad SIP message

TC/LINK-MQ: Incompatible Codepage

CCSID of XML messages sent from KCS to IBM WebSphere MQ in XML format is always

1208. (367033)

The CCSID is now configurable in a new registry value

TCLINKMQ\Options\Out

\OverrideXmlOutCodePage

. When set to 1, the CCSID is set to the value of

TCLINKMQ

\General\PCCodePage

. Otherwise, the CCSID is set to 1208. Default value is 0.

When set to 1, the CCSID is set to the value of

TOPCALL\TCLINKMQ\General\PCCodePage

.

Otherwise, the CCSID is set to 1208. Default value is 0.

TC/LINK-SI: Missing Attachments in SAP

Disk caching on shared disk may result in lost attachments. (347684)

Copying to the shared disk is now more robust. In addition, TC/LINK-SI now creates a

new registry value at link startup:

SAP\CopyWaitSeconds

. If the copied file cannot be found

immediately after copying, TC/LINK-SI now retries to access the file after the number of

seconds specified in the new registry value. The default is 180 seconds.

Fax over IP: RFC3264 Compliance

KCS Fax over IP is not fully compliant with the IETF standard RFC 3264. A new configuration

parameter “SIP/Add inactive SDP medias” has been added to activate the RFC 2327

compliant behavior. (343197)
Note Full compliance is disabled by default. Calls to some VoIP devices do not work if the

parameter is activated.
