engine’s exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting applicable local or state laws (if any). If a
spark arrester is used, it should be maintained in effective working order by the operator.

In the State of California, the above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California Public Resources Code).
Other States may have similar laws. Federal laws apply to federal lands. A spark arrester muffler is available
at your nearest engine authorized service center.

GENERAL OPERATION

1.

Read, understand and follow all instructions in the
manual and on the machine before starting. Keep
this manual in a safe place for future and regular
reference and for ordering replacement parts

Only allow responsible individuals familiar with the
instructions to operate the machine. Know the
controls and how to stop the machine quickly.

Do not put hands or feet under the cutting deck or
near rotating parts.

4.

Clear the area of objects such as rocks, toys, wire,
etc. which could be picked up and thrown by the
blades. A small object may have been overlooked
and could be accidentally thrown by the mower in
any direction and cause injury to you or a
bystander. To help avoid a thrown objects injury,
