8. The next, and final, screen appears as follows:
Click “Finish”. The Mark-10 USB device is now installed and ready to use. The COM port number
assigned by Windows may be identified in Device Manager, or in the communication application being
used, such as MESURgauge or HyperTerminal.
9.2 Communication Settings
To set up communication settings, select USB Settings from the menu. The screen appears as follows:
Configure the baud rate and data format as required for the application. Default values are as follows:

Data Format: Numeric + units
Other communication settings are permanently set to the following:

10 CALIBRATION
10.1 Initial Physical Setup
The sensor should be mounted vertically to a test stand or fixture rugged enough to withstand a load
equal to the full capacity of the sensor. Certified deadweights, torque arms/wheels, and/or master load
cells should be used, along with appropriate mounting brackets and fixtures. Caution should be taken
while handling such equipment.
