7 Maintenance and repairs
This section gives instructions on all maintenance work to be performed in order to keep the instru-
ment in good working condition.
7 .1 Maintenance schedule
Due to safety reasons some parts are to be serviced by authorized technical service personnel only.
The table below shows the maintenance material and recommended interval.
NOTE
When the instrument is used in dusty environment, a more frequent filter exchange might be neces-
sary to ensure good cooling. A sign for clogged filters is increasing heat inside the NIRMaster.

7 .2 Cleaning
To avoid cross-contamination and germ dissemination (e.g. by bacteria) the operator is advised to
attend common laboratory biosafety measures in accordance the chosen application and environ-
ment. The “Laboratory Biosafety Manual” of the World Health Organization can be used as a practical
guidance.
