NOTE
Depending on whether you have selected Aeration On/Off in the Options controller, the system is
either aerated directly after the STOP button was pressed (Aeration ON) or when the STOP button is
pressed a second time (Aeration OFF).

NOTE
Press the Info button to get some useful tips concerning recommended settings and update possi-
bilities of your solvent library.

Working with a connected F-series chiller

To start a distillation when a chiller is connected to your system, proceed as follows:
• Set the desired cooling temperature (and additional parameters if needed) in the menu Recircu-

lating chiller (see section 6.9).

• Set the desired pressure on the vacuum controller or choose the solvent in the solvent library.
• Press the START button on the controller, so that the chiller starts cooling, and wait until the chiller

has reached the set value.

• Press the START button on the controller again to start the distillation.
• After the distillation has finished, press the STOP button on the controller to stop the process.
• Press the STOP button on the controller again to start the 5 minute countdown timer after which it

will enter the Stand-by mode or press STOP again to immediately enter the Stand-by mode.

NOTE
If you start the distillation before the chiller has reached the set value, a warning message is
displayed (see below). Press Cont. or press the START button a second time to ignore the message
and to start the distillation regardless of the current temperature, or press Abort to let the chiller
reach the set value first.
