The PSS-9/16 volume can be adjusted in 11 steps. The volume is automatically set to
“normal” when the
POWER
switch is turned
ON.

Press the VOLUME □ button to increase volume or the VOLUME □ button to
decrease volume. The volume is increased or decreased slightly each time the corresponding
▼ VOLUME ▲
button is pressed. Press both the □ □ buttons together to restore the normal
volume setting.
Playing a Rhythm Pattern

The PSS-9 has 19 different rhythm patterns and the PSS*16 has 22 patterns that can be
selected and played by pressing the appropriate white key on the keyboard while holding
the
RMl'THM/SONfi
□
button.

To play the SWING rhythm, for example, hold the □ button and press the
white key on the keyboard labelled “SWING” in the band above the keyboard.
The SWING rhythm will begin playing immediately.
STOP
The rhythm pattern can be stopped at any time by pressing the □ button.
* A different rhythm pattern can be selected in the same way even while a rhythm pattern
is playing. In this case the new rhythm pattern begins playing from the beginning of the
next measure.
Lautstärkeregelung

Die Lautstärke des PSS-9/16 kann in elf Stufen geregelt werden. Beim Einschalten
wird automatisch die Normallautstärke vorgewählt. Zum Erhöhen der Lautstärke tippt

man die Taste VOLUME □ an, VOLUME □ hingegen reduziert die Lautstärke.

Durch gleichzeitiges Drücken beider Tasten □ □ wird wieder auf Normall^aut-
stärke rückgesteilt!

Das PSS-9 bietet neunzehn und das PSS-1 6 zweiundzwanzig heiße Rhythmen. Um

einen Rhythmus zuzuschalten müssen Sie die □ -Taste gedrückthalten und
die weiße Manualtaste drücken, der der erwünschte Rhythmus zugewiesen ist.
RHTTHM/SONG
Um zum Beispiel den SWING-Rhythmus zu spielen müssen Sie nur die weiße Taste,
die im Band über der klaviatur mit SWING gekennzeichnet ist, zusammen mit
nH'rTHM'^SONG
der i I -Taste betätigen. Der SWING-Rhythmus beginnt sofort. Die Rhythmus-

begleitung kann jederzeit durch Drücken der □ -Taste abgeschaltet werden.
* Sie können jederzeit während Abspielen eines Rhythmus einen anderen wählen. Der
neue Rhythmus setzt dann zu Beginn des nächsten Taktes ein.
