these parameters:
• 1. Telnet/SSH Access: Allow (Yes) or disallow (No) Telnet
• 2. (S)FTP/TFTP: Select (S)FTP, TFTP, Both, or None
• 3. SNMP Access: Select Write (also allows Read access), Read, or None
• 4. SNMP Protocol: Select V1V2cV3, V1V2c, or V3
• 5/6. V1/V2c Read and Write Communities: Enter name of community, up to 11 characters
• 7. V1/V2c Access Level: Select Supervisor, Operator, or Observer
3. To remove a host, type

Manage SLIP Access
If you prefer to access your 9151 by modem, you can set up the serial port for Serial Line Internet
Protocol (SLIP) during a Telnet session, then run in SLIP mode until you change to VT100 mode.
To set values for SLIP parameters, go to the IP Settings screen and follow these steps:
1. From the System menu type

for SLIP for this 9151 and press
Note: IP address 0.0.0.0 disables SLIP mode.

Manage Traps and Alarms
Traps are messages that require management attention and are routed to the Network Manager and the
9151 Traps Log, but do not trigger alarms. Use the Trap Configuration screen to view the current
configuration and to enable or disable traps for the 9151. For a list of events that trigger traps, see
Table 4. To set up the traps, follow these steps:
1. From the System menu type

2. At the Trap Configuration screen, type the number for a trap, then press
