Age Ranges
NIBP not for use on neonates (less than 28 days of age or 44 weeks gestational age).

Battery Info
Uses a sealed lead-acid battery.
Battery must be connected upon initial receipt per instructions on battery door.
Charge for 6 hours (+1 hour with Braun 4000 device) prior to initial use OR charging icon on screen ceases to flash.
Charge for 4 additional hours if device has a printer.
Charge when not in use.
Duration of battery is model specific:
45MTO = 14.5 hours
45NTO = 13 hours
45MEO = 13.5 hours
45NEO = 12.5 hours

Cleaning
Device
Wipe the device with a cloth slightly dampened with appropriately diluted, non-staining disinfectant solution. Use either
70% isopropyl alcohol, 10% chlorine bleach solution, mild detergent in warm water, or PDI Sani-System cloths. Never
immerse. Prevent water or fluids from entering any connectors. Do not sterilize or autoclave the Spot LXi device.
Accessories
Do not immerse, soak or autoclave. Clean removable probe well by swabbing with a cloth dampened with 70%
isopropyl alcohol or 10% bleach solution. Probe well can be immersed. Ensure probe well is dry before re-inserting into
device.

Defaults
To enter the Internal Configuration menu, follow these steps starting with the device powered OFF:
1. Press and hold the POWER
and SELECT
buttons simultaneously. The Internal Configuration
menu will display on the screen.
2. Use the NAVIGATION
buttons to move through the menu options.
3. Use the SELECT
button to access options or accept a change.
4. Press the POWER
button to exit the Internal Configuration menu.

End Use
Press the POWER
button to turn device off. After 2 minutes of inactivity, the device goes into STANDBY
mode. The screen will go blank; press any key to activate device. After 30 minutes of inactivity, the device powers itself
off.
Oral Mode: all ages; use probe with
BLUE
ejection button and probe well
Adult Axillary Mode: patients age 18 years and older; use probe with
BLUE
ejection button and probe well
Pediatric Axillary Mode: patients age 17 years and younger; use probe with
BLUE
ejection button and probe well
Rectal Mode: all ages; use probe with
RED
ejection button and probe well
Tympanic thermometer (if applicable): appropriate for use on all ages
