AIRSHORE Struts and Accessories for Rescue
2.1
Intended Use
2.1.1 Area of Use
The Airshore ART-System must only be operated manually with
compressed air or CO2 (gaseous). No flammable or other dange-
rous gases must be used!
The Airshore ART-System was developed for shoring up trenches
and buildings as well as shoring and stabilizing vehicles. Using it
for other purposes and/or improvised uses can result in serious
consequences.

Use struts only for their intended purpose!

Use struts only for admissible loads!

Set the operating pressure correctly using the pressure
regulator!

The Airshore ART-System must not be altered in its const-
ruction in any way!
2.2
Possible Dangers
It is essential to wear protective equipment to avoid in-
juries such as crushing, cuts or being retracted by pis-
tons for!

Preparation for Use
3.1
Preparing the Work
1. Ascertain which type of strut and what length is needed.
2. Select the necessary accessories (attachments, clevises and
base plates) and connect these with the Airshore ART strut.
Make sure that accessories and attachments are perfectly and
securely locked and positioned
(latching of the locks on the
struts and the safety pin on the base plate)
.
One ART strut
may, if necessary, be equipped with
a maximum of one
ART
extension (see accessories).
3. Make sure that at this point no safety pins are placed in pistons
and sockets.
4. Position the ART strut according to the situation.
