11) As the engine starts to fire keep the starter
button depressed and pull back the throttle
¼ inch. If the engine starts running, the
model will pick up speed and start to move.
Give the model at least half throttle and allow
it to pick up some speed before releasing
the starter button. Note: If you are running
at over 1500-feet elevation you may have to
lean both the high- and low-speed needles
as outlined in “Tuning a Nitro Engine” in the
manual to compensate for the altitude.
12) If the engine does not continue to run,
release the trigger closing the throttle. The
engine should start firing again and allow
you, follow the directions above.
13) If you should have any problems in the
initial startup, please reread the “Tuning a
Nitro Engine”, “About the R.O.S.S. Starting
System”, and the “Troubleshooting your Ten-T”
sections of the manual.
14) When finished running, you can kill the
engine by using the end of a screwdriver,
the end of the shock tool included in the kit
or a rag over the end of the exhaust pipe –
NEVER try using your finger as this is very hot!
You can also use the handle of a screwdriver
against the flywheel through the opening in
the bottom of the chassis.
15) Make sure you always turn off the radio in the
model and the transmitter immediately after
killing the engine.
