Palette Snooping
This function is used to allow the system to modify the Palette Snooping settings.
Note:
Leave this function at Disabled unless the VGA card manufacturer requires Palette
Snooping to be Enabled.
Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: Disabled
PCI IDE BusMaster
This function is used to allow or prevent the use of PCI IDE busmastering.
Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: Enabled
SETTING
DESCRIPTION
Disabled
Use this setting to inhibit palette snooping.
Do not change this setting unless palette snooping is required by the graphics device.
Enabled
Use this setting to inform the PCI devices that an ISA based Graphics device is installed in
the system. It does this so that the ISA based graphics card will function correctly. This
does not necessarily indicate a physical ISA adapter card. The graphics chipset can be
mounted on a PCI card.
Always verify that palette snooping is required by the graphics device before using this set-
ting.

Use this setting to prevent PCI busmastering.
Enabled
Use this setting to specify that the IDE controller on the PCI local bus has mastering capa-
bilities.
