10.9 Market
Android Market provides access to applications and games that you can download
and install on your phone.
10.9.1 Opening the Market Application
On the Home screen, touch

> Market .
If you open the Market application for the first time, the Android Market Terms of
Service window is displayed. Read the terms, and then touch Accept if you want to
continue.
10.9.2 Searching for an Application
On the Market home page, the following tabs are displayed:
• CATEGORIES.
• FEATURED.
• TOP FREE.
• TOP NEW FREE.
• TRENDING
10.9.3 Downloading and Installing an Application
To install a non-Market application, on the Home screen, touch

> Settings >
Applications , and then select the Unknown sources check box.
1. Open the Market application, and flick to the tab that indicates the category of the
application you want to download and install.
2. Touch the application you want to download and install.
3. Read the detailed information about the application, such as its cost, overall rating,
and user comments.

