Section IV: Glazing Preparation

STEP #3 PREPARE FRAME FOR GLAZING

A. Seal the frame joints at the SSG vertical and captured head and sill intersections. Seal

the 1/4” joint at the glazing pocket. The joint must be sealed from the top all the way

around to the bottom of the glazing pocket, completely filling the joint void.

B. Tool off excess sealant from exposed areas and in areas that would interfere with in-

stalling the horizontal pressure cover.

Note: Joint plugs are not

used in applications where

captured horizontals are
used with SSG verticals. The

horizontals must be fabri-
