On the Canon Model V, focusing and composing can be done at
the same time. When you look through the Range-Viewfinder
Eyepiece (13), you will see two images. By releasing the Lens
Focusing Lever ( I I ) and rotating the lens barrel, the two images
of the object you are focusing upon will coincide. At this point
of coincidence your camera is in focus for the object you are
about to photograph. For a larger image on which to focus, use
Viewfinder Dial (16) set at “RF”. (see page 17)
Note that on some Canon Lenses, there is no Lens Focusing
Lever (the knurled lens barrel is gripped for focusing) but all
Canon Lenses couple with the camera Range-Viewfinder mech
anism.
