Glossary
ASC (Active Signal Correction)
Adjusts sharpness, brightness, color and picture settings.
Notch
Adjusts dots or stripes which appear while you are watching a
picture from a computer or a video source. (Normally, set to
NOTCH OFF.)
Picture-in-picture
Displays two or more programs at the same time.
(•) Sound Retrieval System (SRS)
Reproduces the ambience and dynamics of the original live
performance so that you can enjoy the sound as if you were
at a concert hall or a recording studto. SRS enables you to
enjoy the optimum sound from anywhere in the room.

S video Input/output
Video input and output signals can be separated into Y
Ouminance, or brightness) and C (chroma, or color) signals.
Usually, these two signals are combined in a VCR and sent
as one signal to a TV. Separation of the Y and C signals pre
vents them from interfering with one another, thereby improv
ing picture (especially in color) quality. This TV is equipped
with an S video input jack through which these separated sig
nals can be input directly.

Produces pictures with “warmness (reddish)” or “coolness
(bluish).”
Vbu can adjust the color temperature of the picture to your
preference with this Trinitone feature.
Superwoofer
Amplifies the bass sound and you can enjoy wonderful
sound.
