With this feature, you can “teach'* any aftheprogrammafile 6u№>ns to operato one
function each of another remote command». Use the Learning function to
progam the suppited remote commander to operate non-Sony and Sony auitio
equipment, your remote controlled cable decoder box, and video equ^rment at
manufacturers not listed bitim chart on p. 61.
1 Set the CABLE/VIDEO selector to CABLE.

Face this Remote Commander with the other remote commander head to
head, approximately 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
3 Press LEARN.
The LEARN indicaSor lights up in green.

For accurate teaming
Do not move the remote commanders during the
learning process.
Momentarily press the button of this Remote Commander on which a func­
tion is to be memorized.
The LEARN indicator lights up in red. (A short beep).
Now it’s ready for learning.
The Remote Commander beeps r^watedly if there is inappropriate operation. Try
again from this step.
5 Keep pressing the function button of the other remote commander until the
LEARN Indicator turns to green again. (A long beep)
If this does not happen, the learning process has not been completed. Repeat steps 4
and 5.
To program other buttons, repeat steps 4-5.
7 Press LEARN.
The LEARN indicator lights up in red, then goes off.
Now the setting is complete.
