Operating Non-Sony or Sony Video Equipment
(Pre-programmed Function)
The supplied Remote Ckjmmander has pre-programmed functions.
Vws you can operate non-Sony video equ^ment with Ore supplied Remote
Commander by setting the manufacturer’s code.
Setting the manufacturer’e code
1 Set the CABLE/VIDEO selector to VIDEO.

Set the VTR1^!^/M0P selector to the position that you want to operate the
equipment at.
By employing the VTR1/2/3 settings, you can use your re­
mote commander to operate up to 3 pieces of equipment.
Note: If you also use Sony video equipment, set other
maker’s equipment to a position not being used for your Sony
video equipment.

While pressing CODE SET, press manufacture’s code numbers (See table).

Press ENTER.
The LEARN indicator turns green and then goes off. (A long beep)
Now you can operate the non-Sony video equipment with the
supplied Remote Commander.
Use the video operating buttons to operate video equipment.

Vbu may not be able to operate your non-Sony
video equipment with the supplied Remote
Commander. This is because your equipment
may use a code that is not provided with this
Remote Commander. In this case, please use
the remote control unit provided with the non-
Sony equipment.
