IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualified
motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install
this performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer.
Read all instructions first before starting installation. Make sure the
motorcycle and exhaust system are completely cool before starting the
installation. Also, make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand or ideally
a service lift during installation. Be sure to save all stock components for
possible use later.
Installation Instructions
1. Make sure the bike is completely cool before starting the
installation. Make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand
or ideally a service lift.
2. Remove both seats.
3. Remove back seat fairing.
4. Remove the turn signals from the fender by unbolting the
5mm allen bolts. Disconnect tail lights and license plate light.
5. Loosen the clamp where the headpipe connects to the muffler.
6. Remove the bolt at the top of the muffler.
7. Disconnect the wire connector and remove the stock
muffler from the bike.
8. Remove the license plate and wire harness from the
stock muffler. Save wiring harness for later use.
9. Thread the lighted license plate bolts through the holes in
the license plate. Then attach the stainless bracket to the
license plate and thread the plastic nuts onto the lighted
screws as shown.
10. Splice one wire from the left bolt and one from the right.
Twist these wires together as shown.
11. Splice one side of the provided extra lead wire, and slide one of
the included pieces of heat shrink over the wire as shown.
