Memory
Problem Solution
All memory in
computer is being
used by open
programs, and
memory is needed for
desired task. To avoid Windows automatically running
unnecessary programs at startup:
1. From the Windows desktop, click the Start
button.
2. Select Run.
3. In the Open box, type MSCONFIG.
4. Click OK. The System Configuration Utility
dialog box is displayed.
5. Click the Startup tab, and clear the check
box(es) for any unnecessary programs.
Close one or more programs, and restart
Windows to recover memory. If the error
message is displayed again, repeat the
preceding steps and close one or more
programs.
Symptom
Insufficient memory message
is displayed.
