Trouble Guide

The following symptoms and their probable
causes suggest unusual system behavior that
may warrant investigation or service.

STANDARD EASYCARB

Frost on the Tank

Frost on the bottom of the tank is normal. Par-
ticularly during period of high usage.

If frost appears continuously, check the output
supply line and any equipment attached to it for
leaks.

If the entire unit frosts, call your supplier for
service.

No Carbon Dioxide (Drink Tower Lights On)

The EasyCarb may be out of carbon dioxide,
check the contents gauge and the pressure
gauge on the top of the tank. If it is reading
empty, call your supplier for an emergency refill.

The USE valve on the tank may have been
inadvertently closed. Check the handle position
in the illustrations on page 4 (shown in the
closed position) and confirm the valve handle is
turned so that it is parallel with the __________.

Check the supply regulator setting to ensure it is
adequate for your system [usually about 90 psig
(6.2 bar/621 kPa)].

High Carbon Dioxide Consumption

• Check for frost on the bottom of the tank.

Frost in this location during high with-
drawal periods, or of an intermittent
nature is normal. Extensive frost that is
always present may indicate leaks in the
supply line or the equipment attached to
the supply line.

Hissing Noise from the Tank

• Check the pressure gauge. If it reads

approximately 300 psig (20.7 bar/2068
kPa), the tank is venting normally. The
venting will stop when the pressure drops
to some point below this pressure.

• If the pressure is at 300 psig (20.7 bar/

2068 kPa, venting is continuous, and
there is frost or condensation on the
outside of the container, call your sup-
plier and describe the symptoms.

• Leak on the component side of the tank.

Call your supplier for service.

TCM MODELS

Heater Lamp On

• If the heater lamp is on for a long period

of time, check the gas line connection to
the pressure switch. Call your supplier for
service.

• The TCM will not frost indicating a leak

like the Standard EasyCarb does. If the
heater light is on for a continuous period
of time, this could be an indication of the
same problem. Call your supplier for
service.
