What is the EasyCarb?
The Taylor-Wharton EasyCarb is a storage and
supply system for carbon dioxide gas used in
carbonating soft drinks. This system differs from
other carbonation system supply sources be-
cause it stores carbon dioxide, not as a gas but
in liquid form. Liquid carbon dioxide requires
less space to store, and liquid containers can
be refilled without taking them out of your place
of business.
The EasyCarb is filled from your supplier’s
distribution through plumbing that brings a new
supply of carbon dioxide into the container from
outside the building. Containers do not have to
be changed nor is soft drink dispensing inter-
rupted when your supplier delivers additional
carbon dioxide – in fact he may not need to
enter the building.
The EasyCarb is designed to operate with little
or no attention from the user. The liquid is
stored under a pressure of up to 300 psig (20.7
bar/ 2068 kPa), and is at a temperature as cold
as -60ºF (-51ºC). Because of these characteris-
tics you should know some basic facts about
carbon dioxide, how the container operates,
and what to do to prevent personal injury in the
event of accidental damage to the system.
This booklet will answer most of these ques-
tions about the EasyCarb system. Anyone who
works around the unit or its plumbing should
read and understand this material. Your supplier
will also be glad to help answer any additional
questions you may have about liquid carbon
dioxide.
