Removing the Chassis Fan

Prerequisites
Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the Computer Cover" on page 12.
Procedure
1 Disconnect the chassis-fan cable from the system board connector (FANSYS2). See
"System-Board Components" on page 11.
2 Remove the screws that secure the chassis fan to the chassis.
3 Slide and lift the chassis fan away from the computer as shown in the illustration.
