NOTE:
If you are updating firmware from version 13x, you must first update to version 14.0.12 before updating to
firmware version 14.5.x or later.
If you are updating firmware from version 14.5x, you must first update to version 15.5.0 before updating to
firmware version 16.0.x or later.
Installing/Updating
In this procedure, you will use an executable flash tool called BootUtil that has the necessary Intel Boot Agent images stored
within the executable. You will select the NIC you want to flash, and indicate whether or not you want the BootUtil to create a
backup image of the old flash before flashing a new Intel Boot Agent image. BootUtil then erases the flash before writing the
new Intel Boot Agent image onto the flash .
NOTE: For the following adapters, the Boot Agent software image is updated only through the Dell Update Package for
Intel Adapter Firmware . Bootutil cannot be used to update Boot Agent software.
