2. Guide the tether strap through the opening.
3. Fold back the center armrest.
4. Hook in the tether strap on the mounting
point.
On the Sports Wagon, also guide the tether
strap between the backrest and the roll-up
cover on all rear seats.
LATCH child-restraint fixing system
LATCH: Lower Anchor and Tethers for CHil-
dren.
To attach a LATCH child's seat, follow the
operating and safety instructions of the
child's seat manufacturer. <
Sedan: rear seats
The mountings for the LATCH child's seat fix-
ing system are located at the points marked
with the arrows. They are not visible from the
outside.
Before attaching the LATCH child's seat, pull
the belt away from the region of the child-
restraint fixing system.
Sedan: rear seats with through-loading
system*
The anchorage points for the LATCH child-
restraint fixing system are located behind the
indicated protective caps. Before attaching the
child's seat, remove the protective caps and
pull the belt out of the area of the child-restraint
fixing system.
Sports Wagon: rear seats
The mountings for mounting the LATCH child-
restraint fixing system are located behind the
indicated protective caps and are covered again
after the child's seat is removed.
Before attaching the LATCH child's seat, pull
the belt away from the region of the child-
restraint fixing system.
