Section 12 - Wireless handset functionality
This radio can operate with up to two optional H50 wireless handsets. When an H50 wireless
handset is successfully 'subscribed' to the radio, the button and screens on each device will
be mimicked.
Note: The H50 must be subscribed to the V50 base station radio before it can be used. See
Section 7 on how to subscribe the wireless handset to the V50.
Note: Maximum of two handsets can be subscribed to the V50.
12-1 Using the wireless handset
Once the H50 handset has been paired (subscribed) to the V50, the screen and button
functionality are mimicked on each device.
Most functions that are provided on the V50 can be accessed by the H50 with the following
differences:
•
AIS: There is no AIS PPI on the H50 screen
•
SETUP: Some setup functions are not available on the H50.
When the H50 is not in use, it should be placed back into the charger cradle. The H50 is
charged when placed in the cradle via a contact-less inductive charging system.
12-2 Using the intercom / Conference facility
The Intercom mode works only when one or two optional H50 handset(s) are installed.
Conference mode is only available when 2 handsets are connected and is used to connect all
3 units together. This disables the radio receiver, except for incoming DSC calls.
1.
Hold down AIS/IC key to enter INTERCOM or CONFERENCE mode.
