Lights
These instructions apply to an installation of light kit part
number 118-246A.
The lamp assemblies are attached to the main seed box.
The main box must be empty or less than half full in
order to access the mounting holes. See “Main Box
Clean-Out” on page 29 if it is necessary to remove large
quantities of seed.
Prepare Seed Box
Refer to Figure 31
1.
Open the main seed box lid. At each end of the main
seed box, use a non-metallic mallet to drive out the
polymer plugs at the light mounting holes
(4 holes;
2 at each end). These plugs are not re-used.
Install Weather Cap and Hitch Lead
Refer to Figure 32
Choose a mounting location on the front tool bar, near
drill center, where the holder plate
won’t obstruct any
decals.
2. Select one each:
118-046D 7-PIN HOLDER
806-021C U-BOLT 3/8-16 X 3 1/32 X 4
and two sets:
804-013C WASHER LOCK SPRING 3/8 PLT
803-014C NUT HEX 3/8-16 PLT
Orient the holder plate with the end having two
corner holes up. Secure it to the tool bar with the
U-bolt
, two lock washers and two nuts .
3. Select one:
833-492C 7-PIN CONNECTOR HOLDER
and two sets:
802-004C HHCS 1/4-20X3/4 GR5
804-006C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/4 PLT
803-006C NUT HEX 1/4-20 PLT
With the holder cap forward of the holder plate @,
and the open end down, attach the cap to the plater
with bolts
, lock washers and nuts . Insert
bolts from the front, for maximum clearance for the
lighting connector. Tighten nuts only to Grade 2
torque specification.
4. Select one:
890-640C LIGHT HARNESS, 5’ LEAD
Insert the 7-pin connector end of this lead into the
weather cap
. Coil up the remainder near the
hitch.
