Shooting – The Basics
Self-timer
With this function, images are shot 10 or 2 seconds
after the shutter button is pressed. This is useful
when you want to take a memorable photo with
everyone including yourself in the picture. The self-
timer can be used in any shooting mode.

When
is selected and the shutter button is
pressed fully, the self-timer lamp starts
blinking and the self-timer begins to beep.
The blinking gets faster 2 seconds before the
shutter releases.

When
is selected and the shutter button is
pressed fully, the self-timer lamp blinks fast
from the beginning. The shutter releases in 2
seconds.

Auto Mode (p. 31).

(Rec.)] menu, select
(Self-timer).

The display will return to the Shooting
screen.
You can change the self-timer sound by
changing the setting in [Selftimer Sound] in
the [
(My Camera)] menu (p. 71).
