Liquid Fertilizer Option
Mount pump even with or lower than fertilizer tank.
If you will be using fewer hoses than there are on the
pump, remove pump hoses from near the center of the in-
take manifold (1) and cap the intake ports (2).

cation in the tractor cab.

Connect power cord directly to battery on tractor. Connect
red wire to positive post on battery.
Ridge Planting
To prepare the planter for ridge planting, you must lower
the gauge wheels by inverting the cylinder mounting
blocks.
To invert, refer to Figure 1-8.
1. Block up planter frame to remove weight from tires.
2. Remove the four 5/8-inch cap screws.
3. Invert mounting blocks and reinstall cap screws.
Torque to specification as listed on the Torque Values
Chart, “Appendix,” page 62.

Ridge Planting Adjustment
NOTE: Changing the mounting height of the transport
wheels also affects the operating height of the planter.
When inverting the cylinder mounting blocks, consider
planter height and levelness. Use hitch-height adjust-
ments, not transport-wheel adjustments, to level planter.
