Swivel Hanging Mounting Kit Installation Instructions
For Electric Heaters
WARNING:
If the heater is installed on a structure that is to be transported, provide additional support for the
heater during transit. The suspended weight should not exceed 300lbs (136kg).
Refer to the owner’s manual for mounting specifications and conditions.
Check that your heater model number corresponds to the model number shown on the mounting kit carton
.
Installer required to supply:
a)
A method of fastening the Angle Hangers to the supporting structure that is at least as strong
as four 3/8” diameter, grade 5 bolts (see step 1) and,
b)
two pieces of 1/2”, schedule 40 or heavier, steel pipe cut to suit required installation length
and threaded at both ends (see step 2).
STEP 1
Fasten Angle Hangers to a
surface or structure that will
support the heater’s weight using
the installer supplied fasteners.
Refer to the owners’ manual for
the heater’s weight.

STEP 2
Screw one Connector
Hanger and on Adaptor
hanger onto each steel
pipe until tight (min. 5 turns
each).
STEP 3
Bolt Mtg Attach Assy Bracket
to the heater using 1/2 UNC x
1-1/4 bolts, lock washers, and
1/2 UNC nuts.
STEP 4
Screw Hanger
Assemblies to the
Swivel Mtg Attach
Assy .
STEP 5
Hang assembly from Angle
Hangers using two 1/2
UNC x 1-1/4” bolts, lock
washers, and nuts.
STEP 6
Hang assembly from Angle
Hangers using two 1/2 UNC x
1-1/4” bolts, lock washers, and
nuts.
Bolt the Swivel Mtg Attach Assy
to the Mtg Attach Assy Bracket
using a 1/2 UNC x 1-1/4” bolt, lock
washer, and flat washer. Swivel
heater to desired orientation and
secure in place.
Connector Hanger
must be
hung on the inside of Angle
Hanger
as shown. Rotate
Connector Hanger
to align
with Angle Hanger
. Do not
back off more than 3/4 turns.
Mtg Attach Assy Bracket
must be
placed with the threaded hole closest to
the control enclosure side of the heater.
