5. After the firmware installation completes, you’ll be asked to Shut Down the computer,
wait for two seconds, and then start up again.

Important: A Restart of the computer will not load the new firmware—click Shut
Down to initiate a complete ON/OFF power cycle to load the new firmware into the
hardware.
Other Software from AJA
Finally, install any AJA plug-ins required for 3rd-party software. For example:
• If you use the T-TAP with Adobe Premiere or Adobe After Effects, you would go the AJA
website T-TAP support page and download the “AJA Mac Plug-ins for Adobe CS6”.
• If you use Avid Media Composer, you will need to download AJA’s Open I/O Plug-in for Avid.
These plug-ins come with complete documentation on how to use them. For links, see
“Installing T-TAP Software” on page 6.
