The vertical bars on the bottom of the screen show
the signal strengths acquired from the satellites.
The GPS requires at least 4 satellites to determine its
position. Once the GPS position has been correctly
determined, the position coordinates are displayed
at the bottom of the screen.
Turning the GPS On/Off
When the ONIX 110 is used indoors, the device may
not receive a sufficient GPS signal and a warning
message will appear on the screen. This warning
message does not go off until GPS is turned off.
To turn off GPS, do the following:
1. Press the Menu button twice to display the OSD
menu.
2. Select GPS Off to turn off the GPS function. The
device will stop acquiring satellite data.
3. To resume the GPS function, press the Menu
button to choose GPS On and press OK.
Viewing the Map Page
Press the Page button to toggle between the map
page and the compass page. On the map page, an
icon indicates your current location and the
icon indicates your home location. Press the Menu
button to start navigation.
When navigation is initiated, a route between the
Home location and your current location is displayed
on the screen. You can refer to the route to help you
go back to your Home location. Press the ESC button
to return to the map page.
