Zone Water Detection Sensor

The Zone Water Detection Sensor senses the presence of water via the attached WaterRope. It can be used with all models. The
sensor is a normally closed device. It operates on two (2) AA batteries (installed).

Mounting instructions

Mount the Zone Water Detection Sensor on a wall or other surface where it will not be immersed, but near enough to the surface
being monitored to make the best use of the WaterRope. Plug in the WaterRope before attaching cable clamps to secure it to the
monitored surface.

Wiring instructions

1.

Connect two wires to the two screw terminals on the detector.

2.

Connect one of the wires to a zone or input terminal on your Sensaphone. Connect the other to the corresponding ground
or common terminal. Consult your specific Sensaphone’s manual to determine the appropriate inputs for use with the Zone
Water Detector.

3.

Configure your input normality as normally closed.
For models 400, 800, 1400, 1800: Press Set, then Configure to set normality.
For Sensaphone 2000, WEB600, SAT4D, Cell682, SCADA 3000, and Express II: Program the input type as normally
closed.
Consult your Sensaphone owner’s manual for further instructions.

4.

Test the sensor by moistening a paper towel and wrapping it around any portion of the WaterRope.

extending the Monitored area

The size of the monitored area can be extended by attaching additional lengths of WaterRope (FGD-0063) to the end of the
included WaterRope. You can connect up to ten (10) lengths of WaterRope (100’) to one Zone Water Detector.
