27. FIELD CONVERSION OF BURNER
Burners up to and including 150,000 Btuh are factory produced and supplied to operate on natu-
ral gas. For inputs 45,000, 60,000, 80,000, 110,000, 130,000, and 150,000 Btuh a field conver-
sion kit is available to convert from natural gas to propane gas, or vice versa. Refer to the table
below for kit part number to order. Each kit contains the specific instructions required to install
that kit.
NOTE: Inputs 175,000 & 200,000 Btuh are field convertible between gas types but the conver-
sion is extensive in parts and labor and is recommended only when required in the field.
New 175,000 & 200,000 burners are factory produced for the specific type of fuel gas required.
Please see your dealer for part numbers and order the appropriate specific gas type.
Also NOTE tube length restrictions for 175,000 and 200,000 Btuh Propane models:
 Aluminized steel tube systems:
 Natural gas burners can install to 50, 60, or 70 ft systems
 175,000 Propane burner can install to a 50 or 60 ft tube system (Not 70 ft)
 200,000 Propane burner can install to a 60 or 70 ft tube system (Not 50 ft)
 Stainless steel tube systems: (50 ft systems NOT AVAILABLE for 175,000 & 200,000)
 Natural gas burners can install to 60 or 70 ft systems
 175,000 Propane burner can be connected to a 60 ft tube system only (Not 70 ft)
