Electrical Installation
Before installing, ensure that all incoming power sources are shut
OFF. Failure to observe this practice can result in serious or even fatal
injury and damage to equipment.
Primary electrical installation
Before connecting the EM720 to the power measurement terminals, remove the EM720 front cover, then
install the memory backup Lithium Battery backup (MBB) and Battery Pack Backup Power Supply (BPS)

Before installing the instrument, ensure that the Battery Pack Backup
Power Supply (BPS) is connected.
The BPS must be charged for a period of 16 consecutive hours before
the installation.
Charging the BPS, connect the instrument to a three phase Power
source, according to the instrument inputs rating, to the Voltage
Inputs: make sure there are no plug-in modules.
