7- If you are using the air cleaner backing plate, start by installing the throttle cables as the backing plate will make access very difficult. Mount the
stand-offs on the plate using the supplied 1/4 x 20 x 1” screws. Next, position the front Radiused Inlet on the plate and cap off the vacuum port.
Now carefully position a new gasket on the carburetor and slide the backing plate and Radiused Inlet into place. Install the 1/4-20 x 3/4 screws
treated with blue threadlock—but do not tighten them at this time. Install the rear Radiused Inlet, a vacuum port cap and a new gasket on the
backing plate. Once both Radiused Inlets are in place, tighten the backing plate to the carburetors by securing the screws in the Radiused Inlets
to 10 to 12 ft-lbs.

8- At this point, tighten the carburetor mounting bolts and verify that the throttle shaft coupler turns free on the shafts. If the coupler will not
turn, loosen the carb screws that were tightened in Step 8 and the Radiused Inlet screws from Step 7. Retighten the screws while checking
movement of the coupler. Once the coupler moves freely and the carb and Radiused Inlet screws are tight, check that both throttle plates are
closed and tighten the set screws. Once tight, verify throttle plate positions and cable adjustment.

NOte: After initial startup and tuning re-check the coupler set screws. Periodically check these screws to ensure proper throttle plate opening
and closing.
