Possible Problem

Solution

Drum rotates rough.

Defective ring gear?

Check that the ring gear and bearings
are not worn. Replace as necessary.

Defective pinion gear?

Check that the pinion gear and bearings
are not worn. Replace as necessary.

Worn V-belt?

Replace V-belt.

Loose pulley?

Tighten or replace pulley.

Drum does not rotate at all.

Fuel?

Check level of fuel in fuel tank. Add fuel
if necessary. Make sure fuel is being
supplied to engine. Check to ensure that
the fuel fi lter is not clogged.

Broken V-belt?

Replace V-belt.

Defective ring or pinion gears?

Check that the gears and bearings are
not broken. Replace as necessary.
