Installation and Commissioning Plan

This Installation and Commissioning Plan is a part of MTS system service, and is
included in the price of the system. The tasks outlined in sections A and B are
expected to be completed in two days. The customer is responsible for
completing tasks A1.1 through A1.5 before the MTS FSE or MTS Authorized
Service Representative (referred to as FSE throughout this document) arrives on
site.
The purpose of the Installation and Commissioning Plan is to ensure that the
supplied system and accessories function correctly. Following completion of the
Installation Procedure, sections A2.1 through A3.3, the FSE will provide an on-
site introduction to system operation, sections A4.1 through B2.6.
A1.0 CUSTOMER FACILITIES AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Note: After your order confirmation, you will receive a “Site preparation Guide”
to help you comply with the requirements in this section.
The requirements in the following subsections, A1.1 through A1.5, are the
responsibility of the customer and should be completed before the arrival of the
FSE.
A1.1 Suitable equipment and personnel to unload and set in place all items in the contract
should be available for system installation.
A1.2 Suitable electrical power for MTS supplied equipment should be provided. This
electrical supply should be clean and free from power transients caused by other
equipment on the circuit.
Series 40: 200-240 V AC (Load frame power), 110-240 V AC (PC power), 50-60 Hz
single phase.
A1.3 The electronic components and computer equipment should be located in a suitable
environment with respect to temperature, humidity, and dust.
A1.4 The equipment operator should be proficient in the use and navigation of a personnel
computer, including such tasks as booting the system, file management, printing, and the
use of spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft
®
Excel.
A1.5 Before the visit, the FSE will contact you to confirm the following information:
